Hey y'all. If this year's Grand and Rose
0:10
Halloween decor has got you screaming at
0:12
the price tag, no worries. I got you.
0:18
I made three luxury Grand and Road dupes
0:22
at a fraction of the price that's going
0:25
to blow your spooky mind. And honestly,
0:30
I'm thinking mine turned out even
0:32
better.
0:34
So, let's get into these luxury Branden
0:37
Road Halloween dupes without the luxury
0:40
price tag. Dupe number one. With an
0:43
abracadabra, Grand turns a simple accent
0:46
into their famous pre-lit Halloween
0:48
topiary. It includes 75 warm white
0:51
lights, a midnight black finish, all
0:53
fixed in a glossy ceramic pot. It's size
0:56
for a tabletop or even a mantle. It has
0:58
a six-hour timer and runs on four AA
1:01
batteries. Gorgeous. Absolutely. But
1:05
even on sale at $59, regularly $99,
1:10
that's a steep price for one spooky
1:12
little plant. So, here's the magic
1:14
trick. I made mine for just $22. And I'm
1:18
going to show you exactly how I did it.
1:20
So, are you ready to DIY your own Lux
1:23
Dupes? Here's the supply list. Pause it,
1:25
screenshot it, and let's get into this
1:27
magic. I am at Hobby Lobby shopping for
1:30
three boxwood spheres, aka topiary
1:33
balls. I found two for $6.99 and one for
1:36
$3.99, but they are also 40% off,
1:39
totaling around $11. For the stem, I'm
1:42
using a 3/8x 36 in wooden dowel. These
1:46
are also sold at Walmart and Michaels,
1:48
too, for under a dollar. Mine was
1:49
just.78 at Walmart. grabbed floral foam
1:53
from the Dollar Tree and I already have
1:54
black spray paints left over from
1:56
another project. So, zero extra cost
1:58
there. I'm loving the 3.99 price of this
2:01
cauldron on the right from the At Home
2:04
store, but honestly, the quality just
2:06
isn't there. So, I'm going with this
2:08
hammered metal cauldron from HomeGoods
2:10
for $9.99. Yes, it's about $6 more, but
2:14
the quality and sustainability make it
2:17
worth it. Plus, it's got that luxe look
2:19
I want. I'll be painting one side to
2:21
mimic the Grand and Road dupe while
2:23
keeping the other side with its original
2:25
design for a twoin-one vibe. Now, the
2:28
handles being looped in opposite
2:30
directions seems odd, but I'm no
2:34
cauldron expert. Neither was I born a
2:36
witch. I'm painting all three topiaries
2:39
in the wooden dowel and using Rustoleum
2:41
black gloss spray paint. I have all the
2:44
supplies ready that I'm going to need.
2:46
So, I'm going to head outside with my
2:48
bougie grass protector and thoroughly
2:51
spray these topiaries one at a time. And
2:54
then after about 40 minutes, I'll rotate
2:57
them to paint their opposite sides. I'll
3:00
also be painting the one side of the
3:02
cauldron in Rustoleum matte black spray
3:06
paint. I already had that as well from a
3:08
previous project. Then I'm going to let
3:10
the cauldron dry just enough to glue the
3:13
floral foam inside so that the topiary
3:16
doesn't shift or appear uneven once
3:18
pushing the dowel through the foam.
3:25
Now that the foam is secure, I'm going
3:27
to slide this dowel right through the
3:29
center of the foam. Then I'm going to
3:31
slide the largest topiary ball next and
3:33
then the medium and the smallest. I did
3:35
cut off about an inch from the dowel
3:37
because the granden rope version is 20
3:40
in tall. So, I want this dupe to be the
3:42
same. All topiary spheres are made
3:45
different. Some are plastic, some
3:47
hollow, and some foam. Mine are all
3:50
woven plastic, so I had to adjust them
3:53
on to be straight on the dowel. And
3:55
that's fine. We'll work it out. Just
3:56
take your time, be patient. DIY dupes
3:59
are meant to be fun because when it all
4:02
comes together, woo, it's magic. And
4:04
now, let me show you how my $21 dupe
4:07
stacks up against Grand's $99 version.
4:10
Here it is, y'all. The Grandon Road
4:12
pre-lit topiary side by side with my
4:15
dupe. Honestly, I'm so glad I went with
4:17
the hammered metal cauldron. It gives
4:19
that luxe witchy vibe without the luxury
4:21
price tag. DIY dupes like this prove you
4:25
do not have to spend big time to get
4:27
stunning results. You just need
4:29
creativity, patience, and a little bit
4:32
of paint. If you're loving these luxury
4:34
Halloween vibes on a budget, hit that
4:36
like button, subscribe, and stick
4:38
around. I've got even more fabulous
4:40
dupes coming your way. Number two,
4:43
Grandon Road skeleton hand serving bowl
4:45
is dramatic, luxe, and made of aluminum
4:48
with a stone-like finish. It definitely
4:51
has presence on a Halloween table, but
4:54
at this price point, you're paying more
4:56
for the name than the look. No worries
4:59
at all, y'all. This is where my DIY
5:01
alchemy comes in. Now, the gag is the
5:05
skulls shown inside the bowl.
5:09
Yeah. Um, those are sold separately.
5:12
Grandon Road sells a set of five skull
5:15
fillers for an extra cost on top of the
5:18
bowl. So, to get the full look, you'd be
5:21
paying double.
5:23
That absolutely did not sit right with
5:25
me. So, I created my own version for way
5:28
less. And spoiler alert, this ended up
5:31
being my favorite dupe of the bunch. But
5:34
heads up, the way I made this, it is
5:37
definitely not recommended for kids.
5:39
Now, here's my recipe for this DIY
5:41
alchemy. Pause it, screenshot it so you
5:44
can be an alchemist, too. Yay. Looking
5:46
closely to the texture of the bowl,
5:48
you'll see a layering of colors. I'm
5:50
seeing dark bronze, copper, and black.
5:53
So, I'm going to be using two different
5:55
bronze plus a rose gold spray paint
5:57
along with some free sand to create a
6:00
vintage stone look, giving this bowl
6:02
that luxe expensive vibe. The bowl and
6:05
pedestal needed can be found in the
6:07
party section of Dollar Tree. And the
6:09
skeleton hands are there as well. I also
6:12
found a bag of six mediumsiz skulls for
6:15
$5 versus Brandon Rogues for $69. I now
6:19
have all the supplies needed to get
6:21
started. the skeleton hands, my clear
6:24
bowl, and the pedestal. I I'll also
6:26
bring in some Gorilla Glue. I already
6:29
had this rose gold spray paint on hand,
6:33
but I did go ahead and buy this dark
6:35
bronze hammered look spray paint, but it
6:38
will only be used to grip the sand I'll
6:40
be spraying on while it's still wet.
6:42
This darker bronze will be the final
6:44
finish to get that luxe vintage appeal.
6:47
Just for kicks, this is what it would
6:48
look like if using the bronze hammered
6:50
paint alone. Another option is stone
6:52
spray paint, but the colors are limited.
6:54
So, let's glue these bows together. And
6:56
then I'm taking them outside for their
6:58
first coat of the hammered bronze paint
7:01
by Roleum. I'm also taking the sand
7:04
outside with me because I want to spray
7:08
the sand on the paint while it's still
7:11
wet. And I'll be using a powder duster
7:14
to spray the sand. This actually came
7:16
with some dietimmacous earth that I use
7:19
in my garden a while back, but I do know
7:21
that they are sold separately. This may
7:23
be common sense, but don't paint the
7:25
inside if you plan on using it for food.
7:27
I'm painting my inside and we'll just
7:30
insert another plastic bowl inside if I
7:32
decide to use it for food later.
7:37
The heat here today is no joke and the
7:39
paint is drying way too fast. It is 94°
7:43
today and as you can see the paint is
7:45
drying so fast. So I'm going to have to
7:47
apply or spray some more and then
7:49
restart the process of the sanding with
7:52
the um powder duster.
8:42
My skeleton arm serving bowl dupe is
8:45
almost 100%. I am so excited because I
8:49
know at this time tomorrow it's going to
8:51
be 100% complete. Now we are on to the
8:53
arms. To shape the arms around the bowl,
8:57
I tried a couple of methods. Some people
8:59
use hot water, but when I tried that,
9:01
one of the arms snapped. So instead, I
9:03
went with controlled heat, holding a
9:05
lighter or using my gas stove on just
9:07
the section I wanted to bend. Once the
9:10
plastic softened, I bent it very slowly
9:13
so it curved without breaking. If you
9:15
try this, be extra careful. Work in a
9:18
ventilated space, keep flammables away,
9:20
and let the plastic cool before
9:22
handling. Definitely not kid-friendly,
9:24
and I mentioned that early on, but with
9:26
patience, the arms wrap the bow
9:28
perfectly.
9:34
I'm outside in this heat once again
9:36
painting the hands by layering spray
9:38
paint and stem just like the bowl.
9:45
Now, let's glue these skeleton arms on.
9:48
If you look closely at Brandon Road's
9:50
version, you'll notice they used a
9:52
cement type adhesive and they didn't
9:55
even bother to paint over it, so it
9:57
really stands out. I'm going to be using
10:00
Gorilla construction adhesive with
10:02
clamps securing one side of the arm at a
10:06
time around the curve of the bowl. I
10:10
couldn't find the clear Gorilla
10:12
construction adhesive, but that's fine.
10:15
I've got just enough paint left over to
10:17
cover it seamlessly.
10:19
I don't trust hot glue in my
10:20
demographics. It's way too humid and
10:23
over time it expands and loses
10:25
durability. So, these will stay clamped
10:28
to completely cure overnight. Then, I'll
10:31
finish with paint for the final reveal
10:33
tomorrow. Yay.
10:36
By the way, thanks for sticking with me.
10:38
If you're still here, like this video
10:40
and let me know in the comments. And
10:41
don't forget, you can find step-by-step
10:44
tutorials for all of my projects on
10:46
laniit.com.
10:48
Now, it's time for the skulls. Brandon
10:50
Road went with tangerine, charcoal, and
10:53
linen for their skulls. But as for me in
10:56
my house, we'll be going with black,
10:59
silver, and a pop of fuchsia. Here I am
11:03
spray painting this outside, whatever
11:05
this brand spray paint is, it does not
11:08
cover good. I think I used probably a
11:10
whole bottle just to cover this one
11:12
scroll, this one skull. So, I definitely
11:15
do not recommend it. And then we're
11:17
ready to style it. Now, before I um
11:20
style it my way, I do want to show you
11:22
this option of using that bowl that we
11:24
painted earlier. You could use that to
11:27
fill the bowl some so that you won't
11:29
have to use as much stuffing. And it may
11:32
work out for you, but for me, I decided
11:34
to remove that center piece and just use
11:38
uh plastic bags, stuffing, and no
11:41
centerpiece. I was able to balance the
11:44
skulls much better that way. But I did
11:46
just want to show you this option um
11:49
that you could do since you have that
11:51
extra bowl there.
11:54
To finish off this dupe, I'm filling the
11:56
bowl so that my skulls will sit closely
11:58
to the top. I stuffed the bottom with
12:01
recycled grocery bags and ripped paper
12:04
bags, then topped it with green craft
12:06
moss so it looks cool and lush without
12:08
wasting extra skulls. Next, I arranged
12:11
the skulls to mimic Brandon Rhodess
12:13
design. And then time for a spin. Yes, I
12:17
absolutely pulled out my bougie lazy
12:19
Susan so you can see every angle of this
12:22
final reveal. Honestly, I loved how it
12:25
turned out. It looks luxe, dramatic, and
12:27
gritty all at once and way more
12:30
expensive than what I actually spent.
12:32
And styled with my other Halloween
12:34
decor, it's giving DIY aquamus vibes all
12:37
the way. I cannot wait to see how you
12:40
put your own spin on this Grand
12:42
Halloween dupe. This was such a fun one
12:45
to make, y'all. And don't go anywhere
12:47
because we've still got one more dupe to
12:49
reveal. But for now, let's let this
12:52
skeleton hand serving bowl shine in the
12:54
spotlight. You made it to the end,
12:57
friend. Number three is my final dupe.
12:59
Last but not least is Grandon Road's
13:01
batty wreath with ribbon. It's giving
13:04
chic bat simplicity. Black bats swirl
13:07
across a grape vine base with bronze
13:09
ribbon stout to be wispy and delicate
13:12
for small spaces. I love the design, but
13:15
I wanted more drama and fullness. So,
13:18
for my dupe, I built it bigger, bolder,
13:21
and still bat chic. Or should I say
13:23
spooky yet bat chic. Here's a supply
13:26
list. Pause it. Screenshot it so you can
13:29
make your own version.
13:35
Grape vine wreaths are sold just about
13:37
everywhere. This one is $559
13:40
at Michaels. I already have multiple
13:42
black spray paints left over from other
13:45
DIYs. So, I'll be painting this wreath
13:48
with Rustoleum gloss spray paint in a
13:50
black gloss. I'm going to allow one side
13:52
to dry and then painting the other.
13:54
Painting both sides is optional since
13:56
the back will be against the surface.
13:59
While the wreath is drying, I found
14:01
clip-on black bats at the Dollar Tree
14:03
that were still $1.25 for four. I
14:06
counted around 20 bats on the Grandon
14:08
Roads fatty wreath version. So, I'm
14:10
going to get about eight more. So,
14:12
that's seven packs, which totals around
14:14
$9 after tax. I also got these black
14:17
branches. I'm going to cut the branches
14:18
off. So, I got about four packs totaling
14:20
around $5. Okay, so to make these
14:24
Halloween branches fuller, I'm going to
14:26
spread them over the wreath. I'm cutting
14:28
the branches off the pics so that they
14:30
become individual picks and sticking
14:32
them into the grape vine wreath all the
14:34
way around. The length can be trimmed
14:37
later if desired.
14:49
Once all the branches are in, I'm
14:52
wrapping two of the garlands around the
14:54
wreath. This part is optional. I
14:57
mentioned that early on. Then I'm evenly
14:59
clipping the bats on the branches, the
15:02
garland, and the wreath itself all the
15:04
way around. This DIY is the easiest of
15:08
all. So easy even kids can do this.
15:11
Maybe not the spray paint, but
15:12
everything else for sure. Once done, it
15:15
should look similar to this. And the
15:17
only thing left now is the big old
15:18
ribbon.
15:21
The Dollar Tree's inventory of ribbon
15:23
will vary per store, but here's a visual
15:25
of what you can expect. I also saw the
15:28
dollar store ribbon price increased, and
15:30
this project will require two packs
15:32
based on the lengths of their ribbon,
15:35
which would add up to about $3 to $4.
15:38
Not bad. But I decided to go check Hobby
15:42
Lobby clearance ribbon section. I found
15:46
a huge light gold ribbon roll that will
15:48
last for the rest of my life. It's about
15:53
100 yards, I believe, and it's similar
15:56
to Brandon Road's version. It
15:58
coordinates with my home decor and
16:01
Halloween decor. You know what? And now
16:05
that I think about it, I could actually
16:07
sell y'all some yards if you decide to
16:09
do this dupe and make my money back.
16:13
Either way, this entire project cost me
16:15
less than $30, even with this roll of
16:19
clearance ribbon for $7.99.
16:22
Plus, I had fun while doing it and
16:24
making it my way. Here's the grand and
16:26
rolled batty wreath side by side with my
16:29
dupe. Theirs is delicate, wispy, and
16:31
cute for small spaces. But mine, I
16:33
wanted more fullness, more drama, and
16:36
more presence. Paired with the mirror
16:38
backdrop, it feels bigger, bolder, and
16:41
totally custom. That's the beauty of
16:44
duping. You don't just copy, you
16:46
elevate. Thanks for watching, y'all. I
16:48
hope you enjoyed this video as much as I
16:50
enjoyed making it just for you. Luxury
16:53
isn't found on a shelf. It's created
16:55
when you take simple things and turn
16:57
them into something extraordinary.
17:00
Every dupe is more than decor. It's
17:02
proof that with vision and a little
17:04
effort, you can transform anything, even
17:07
yourself. Now that's the real glow up.
